The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys basketball season ended in a 43-41 loss to Garner-Hayfield-Ventura in a substate semifinal in late February 2022.
The Cowboys came out aggressive and led for most of the first half, with the Cardinals chasing. The score stayed close throughout, and the Cardinals hung around long enough to take it at the end.
It was a tough way to end a season that started with seven straight wins.
