After the 2020 summer was cut short, the 2021 middle school baseball and softball seasons at Clarion-Goldfield-Dows looked closer to normal, though coaches Alison Friesleben (softball) and Bryce Tegtmeyer (baseball) said it still felt a little different. Both said they saw good signs for the high school programs.
The baseball roster was Owen Sweeney, Dietrich Woodley, Kiernan Bremmer, Kolton Hefti, Daniel Gomez-Juarez, Ethan Russel, Estuardo Lopez, Christian Herzberg, McCoy Yackle, Tate Jackson, Justin German, Ethan Hasty, Colton Johnson, Selvin Gonzalez, Tristan Kakacek, Brandon Stein, Cole Rethman and Clayton Loux.
Eighteen players at the middle school level is a healthy number for a district C-G-D’s size, and those kids are the next wave for the varsity teams.
