The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys basketball team came into its December 2021 game with Algona at 6-0 and left at 7-0, beating the Bulldogs 62-30.
A 32-point margin against a North Central Conference opponent said a lot about where the Cowboys were heading into the holiday break. The team had built its start on defense and balanced scoring, with seniors carrying much of the load.
A seven-game winning streak to open the season put C-G-D near the top of the conference standings going into January.
