Lowell E. Lynch

Lowell E. Lynch, 94, of Clarion passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at Rehabilitation Center of Belmond.

A private family graveside service will be held.

Lowell Edward Lynch, the son of Leo and Olga (Larson) Lynch, was born on the family farm outside of Clarion on May 6, 1926.

Lowell graduated from the Clarion High School in 1944.  After high school, he began farming with his father. 

He was united in marriage with Elma Odland on June 26, 1965 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Clarion, Iowa.  The couple moved out to the family farm.

Norman Dale Peyton, 81, of Dows passed away Friday, November 20, 2020 at his home following a recent diagnosis of cancer.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the Dows Community Center. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, attendance at visitation will be limited to 15 indoors and 30 outdoors at all times.

Those in attendance are required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.

Duncan D. Campbell, 67, of Belmond, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020 at his home.

Funeral services for Duncan Campbell will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Belmond United Methodist Church, 1031 1st Street South East in Belmond, with Pastor Leila Blackburn officiating.

James Leonard Demuth, 74 of Clarion passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020 at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center.

A Memorial Mass for James Demuth will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. John’s Catholic Church, 608 2nd Avenue Northeast in Clarion, with Father Jerry Blake officiating. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.

Public visitation has been cancelled at this time.

Those in attendance are required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.

Duane Lee Kreitlow, 77, of Sheffield, Iowa, moving from Missouri where he lived with his wife Donna for 25 years, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2020 at MercyOne Hospice of North Iowa. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, with eulogy read by his niece Janet McKee. In event of inclement weather service will be held at Retz Funeral Home, Sheffield.

Thomas L. Schroder, 66, of Clarion passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at his home in Clarion.

Visitation for Thomas Schroder will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion.

Graveside services will follow at 11:30 AM at Fairview Cemetery in Dows with Joey Keller officiating.

Those in attendance will be asked to follow social distancing guidelines and encouraged to wear a face covering.

Graveside services for Darlene Tillman will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Graceland Cemetery in Rowan, with Pastor Nancy Hofmeister officiating. <p>

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Home, 111 Luick’s Lane South in Belmond. <p>

Robert “Bob” J. Schaffer, 90, of Clarion passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge.

Memorial services for Robert Schaffer will be held on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Clarion Lighthouse Church of the Nazarene, 1010 Second Street South West in Clarion, with Pastor Dana Wendel officiating.

Those in attendance will be asked to follow social distancing guidelines and encouraged to wear a face covering.
