George E. Schuler, 87 of Dows passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Funeral services for George Schuler will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Morgan Bradford United Methodist Church, 569 100th Street in Dows with Reverend Erling Shultz officiating. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Dows.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dows Community Center, 119 East Ellsworth in Dows.

Evelyn E. Denger, 90, of Dows passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton.

A private family service will be held Monday, January 4, 2021 with interment at Fairview Cemetery in Dows.

Evelyn Esther Beisner, daughter of Fred and Esther Beisner, was born on March 3, 1930 in Dows. She was raised and educated in Dows – first in Vernon #5 Country School and graduating from Dows High with the class of 1948.

Long-time Clarion resident Edie Eaton, 97, died from complications related to Covid-19 on December 23, 2020, in the Memory Care unit of the Springbrooke retirement facility in Denver, CO. She had been under Hospice care for almost a year.

Terry M. Evans, 81, of Clarion, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at his winter home in Chandler, Arizona surrounded by his wife, daughters, and a granddaughter.

A private family ceremony and burial will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. A Celebration of Life will be held in the future when it is safe for family and friends to gather.

Bennie A. McGrath, 84, of Clarion passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 at MercyOne North Iowa Hospice in Mason City.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2021.

Bennie Aaron, son of Homer and Ullo (Suiter) McGrath, was born on September 13, 1936 on the farm south of Clarion. He grew up in the Clarion area and attended school in Clarion where he wrestled.

Marietta Barrick

Marietta Barrick, 89, of Woolstock died Monday, December 14, 2020 at Van Diest Medical Center. Private family services will be held now due to COVID restrictions, with a public memorial in 2021. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with the services.

Mary Jane (Buss) Clark, 100, died Sunday, December 6, 2020 at University Hospitals in Iowa City. Due to social gathering limitations, private family funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, December 10th at Madrid Evangelical Free Church. Burial will follow at Hillsdale Cemetery.
