Pamela Kay Lewis was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was called to her heavenly home on August 11th, 2021, at the age of 66.

She was born to Vern & Esther Buhr on Feb. 14th, 1955, in Clarion, Iowa. She was very proud to have lived her entire life in Goldfield and was one of 9 children. She graduated from Goldfield, High School in 1973.

Allen Boyington

Allen Boyington, 91, of Belmond, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at the Rehabilitation Center of Belmond.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at United Church of Rowan, 811 Pesch Street in Rowan, with Pastor Nancy Hofmeister officiating. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Rowan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the church.

Allen’s family requests casual clothes be worn.

John Nelsen

John Howard Nelsen, Jr, the son of John H. Sr. and Alma (Thompson) Nelsen, was born on September 17, 1930, north of Eagle Grove, Iowa. He was raised on the family farm a mile from Holmes Lutheran Church and graduated from Clarion High School in 1948.

On November 15, 1949, John married Beverly Quintus of Eagle Grove. The couple made their home in Wright County: Holmes, Clarion, Goldfield and finally, Eagle Grove. John retired as Plant Manager from Hagie/Asgrow (The Upjohn Co.) where he worked over 42 years.

Pauline S. Rier

Pauline S. Rier, 82, of Clarion passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Clarion United Presbyterian Church, 219 First Street North West in Clarion with Pastor Bill Kem officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Mary Anne Chapman

Mary Anne Chapman, 89, formerly of Eagle Grove, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021 at the Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny.

Memorial Mass for Mary Anne Chapman will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 221 South Jackson Avenue in Eagle Grove, with Father Jerry Blake officiating.  Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Eagle Grove.

Becky Lynn Womack

Becky Lynn Womack, the daughter of Robert and Marjorie (Paul) Blecker, was born on August 22, 1954, at Clarion, Iowa.  She was raised and educated in the area of her birth, graduating from Clarion High School “Class of 1973”.

On May 25, 1991, three years after making him a blueberry shake, that splattered her face, while working at Snack Village, Becky was united in marriage with Ed Womack.  They made their home in Clarion and Webster City.

Sue Sherman

Susan M. Sherman, 56, of Clarion, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion.

Memorial services for Sue Sherman will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the memorial service.

Susan Marie, daughter of George and Caroline (Wood) Mossman, was born on March 3, 1965 in Hampton. Sue grew up on an acreage just outside of Dows and attended school there until she graduated in 1983.

Barbara Nail

Barbara J. (Latch) Nail, 89, of Clarion passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the Iowa Specialty Hospital in Belmond.

A casual graveside service for friends and family will be July 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Clarion Evergreen Cemetery.

Barb was born December 16, 1931 to Ray and Charlotte Latch in Clarion, Iowa.

Thomas Kramer, 78, of Clarion passed away Monday July 12, 2021 at the Iowa Specialty Hospital in Belmond.

Mass of Christian Burial for Thomas Kramer will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at St. John’s Catholic Church, 608 2nd Avenue North East in Clarion with Father Jerry Blake officiating.

Jerry "Jake" Butt

Jerry "Jake" Butt of Dows passed away at Brio of Johnston on July 11, 2021.

The funeral service will be Saturday July 17th at 1:00 PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Alden with burial in Union Cemetery on the family farm southeast of Dows.  Visitation will be at the church from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Friday July 16th and one hour prior to the service.
