Clarion-Goldfield-Dows baseball took a 20-8 loss at Humboldt on Monday, July 1, 2019, in a game that ended after four innings.
The Cowboys scored one in the first, two in each of the next two innings and three in the fourth. Humboldt scored five in the first and eight in the fourth, with seven more in between.
Tyler Stein and Caleb Krueger both went 2 for 3. Stein doubled, drove in two runs and scored twice. Krueger also scored twice. Nate Rapp hit a two-run homer, and Reed Abbas doubled and drove in a run. Brier Boyd and Nevan Foss each singled and drove in a run, and Boyd scored once. Bryce Allen and Cael Chase singled, Chase scored, and Mateo Martinez scored a run. Boyd and Martinez each stole a base.
