With Veterans Day coming in November 2020, the Heartland Museum in Clarion added two new resources for people researching family members who served.
Plenty of families want to know more about a grandparent or great-uncle who served, especially when the people who remember them are gone. Service records, unit histories and old newspaper clippings can be hard to track down.
The new resources came through the work of a few dedicated volunteers. The museum invited anyone tracing a veteran’s history to stop in.
