After the Cowgirls played a tight game earlier in the night, the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys found themselves in the same spot in December 2021 against the Lynx. They came back and won 53-42.
A comeback win in December adds to the confidence of a team that was already off to an unbeaten start. The Cowboys had opened the season with a run of wins and would push it to seven straight with a 62-30 win over Algona later in the month.
