Clarion-Goldfield-Dows opened the 2021-22 wrestling season on a Thursday night in December with a conference dual meet, finishing 1-1.
Early-season duals are as much a measuring stick as anything. Coaches use them to sort out lineups, see who has made weight and figure out where the team can pick up bonus points with pins and technical falls.
The Cowboys went on to the West Marshall Duals in January, where they finished 2-1.
