Clarion-Goldfield-Dows announced in late 2020 that athletic director Tim Morrison had resigned, effective Nov. 30. Morrison was leaving for Wartburg College in Waverly, where he took a job as offensive line coach.
The district named Jeff Meyer interim athletic director for the high school. Meyer had been on staff for three years and was teaching science at the high school. He took on the AD job on top of his classroom work for the rest of the 2020-21 school year.
The timing was rough for any athletic director. Winter sports were starting under COVID-19 rules on spectators and travel, and schedules were shifting week to week.
