The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows middle school wrestling team, coached by Kyle Ruiter, finished its 2015-16 season in late February.
Ruiter said the season goes by too fast every year, but he enjoyed watching the group grow. He credited them with working hard and getting better, and said the North Central Conference schedule is always tough enough to test young wrestlers.
The team included Tyler Stein, Benjamin Oehlert, Camden Hanson, Reed Abbas, Cael Ahrens, Chase Murga, Shane Conlon and Kain Nelson, with managers Perla Padilla and Paige Willey. Several of those names went on to play for C-G-D in football and baseball in the years after.
