In history, horses were given the name “bronco” when they were known to be untrained or only slightly trained. This term, which originated in Mexico, was also used by others. They were the American cowboys, and they used them to ride on during rodeos to feature amazing performances.

This historical fact mirrors what took place on Thursday night for the CGD Cowboys, as they controlled the game from beginning to end, entertaining the crowd while the unprepared Broncos, like the untrained horses, were no match for the Cowboys. History definitely repeats itself.

Winning four in a row, now losing three in a row, the Cowgirls’ season has flipped.

Jaguars, Eagles, Gaels, and Lynx just couldn’t swipe the Cowgirls off their feet…but all of that changed when the Cowgirls faced the Clear Lake Lions on Tuesday night.

Hosting the Cowgirls, the Clear Lake Lions electrified the gym with music from the band, and the roaring fans cheering on their team. The Cowgirls arrived, carrying a 4-0 record on their backs, however Tuesday night they weren’t just facing the Lions basketball team. They were facing the crowd, too.
