Lucille F. (Pray) Dawson, 90, of Dows, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Hansen Family Hospital in Iowa Falls.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at First Lutheran Church, 206 West Ellsworth Street in Dows, with Pastor Anita Nuetzman. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dows.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion.

Lyle Kenneth Kapka, 62, of Clarion, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2024 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2145 Highway 3, rural Clarion, with Pastor Mark  Eichler officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Chuck Davis will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at St. John’s Catholic Church, 608 2nd Avenue North East in Clarion with Father Jerry Blake Officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.

Betty D. (Marshall) Fibikar, 97, of Clarion, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Colonial Manor of Elma.

Memorial services for Betty Fibikar will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the Clarion United Church of Christ Congregational, 121 3rd Avenue North West, in Clarion, with Stan Watne officiating.  Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Betty Dorothy Fibikar passed away peacefully on March 5,2024 at Elma Colonial Mannor, Elma, Iowa.

Lisa Marie Oberbroeckling of Westfield, IN, passed away on March 4, 2024, at the age of 40, after battling esophageal cancer for 5 months. She was born in Clarion, IA, on June 9, 1983.  She graduated from Belmond-Klemme High School where she was actively involved in sports, band, student council, national honor society, and church while always trying to lift the spirits of those around her with her infectious laugh and sense of humor. 

Anna Mae (Annie) Avery

Anna Mae (Annie) Avery was born near Galt, IA to Dillard and Luelda (McKinley) Tudor on Feb. 3, 1932. At the age of three weeks, they moved to the Tudor farm north of Rowan. She attended school at Rowan and graduated with the class of 1949. After graduation she worked at the Azeltine grocery.

She married Robert (Bob) Avery on January 6, 1952 at the Little Brown Church near Nashua. Bob left for military service in March 1952, and she continued to work until his return in 1954.
