At the Monday meeting of the Wright County Board of Supervisors, Chairman Karl Helgevold gave a brief update on COVID in the county on behalf of Sandy McGrath. The county sat at 1,809 cases as of Monday. McGrath said that cases have been on the rise, so she encourages people to be vigilant about mask wearing and other mitigation steps. Last week it was reported that the county would be receiving 1,100 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Out of those doses, 750 have already been given in the county to manufacturing positions with the rest planned to be administered soon.
