The last few Friday nights, a curious sight could be seen at the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows football field. Despite the fact school is not in session and no activities are being held, the stadium lights have been burning bright. This is not a matter of someone forgetting to turn off the lights. Rather, this is a purposeful effort. The Iowa High School Athletic Director's Association is behind the promotion of high schools across the state of Iowa lighting up the stadiums at 8:00 pm each Friday night until school activities resume.
