In March of this year, Clarion American Legion Commander Raejean Chapman received a Certificate of Continuous Membership of 75 years for former Clarion resident Lyle J. Mc Conaughy. This certificate came from the National American Legion Headquarters and is signed by National Commander James W. “Bill” Oxford.
Lyle currently resides in Sun City, Arizona. Several ideas were discussed to present this certificate to him. American Legion member Dennis Mraz was planning a trip to Mesa, Arizona to visit his family and volunteered to present the honor to Lyle in person.
