Unofficial Election Results for Wright County, Iowa

Voter Turnout Hits 72.5%

Wright County saw a strong turnout of 5,772 voters in the Nov. 5 election, a 72.5% participation rate according to the unofficial election results released from the Wright County Auditor’s office late Tuesday night.
 

Wright County Supervisor, A Tight Race

• District 5 (Two-Year Term): Betty Ellis (R) of Dows secured a win with 3,182 votes over Todd Foss (D) of Clarion, who received 2,214 votes.
   

• District 1 (Two-Year Term): Rick Rasmussen from Goldfield ran unopposed.

• District 2 (Four-Year Term): Ashley Bosch from Eagle Grove ran unopposed.

• District 3 (Four-Year Term): Dean Kluss of Clarion ran unopposed.

• District 4 (Four-Year Term): Lynn Loux of Belmond ran unopposed.

Countywide Offices

• County Auditor: Amana Meyer, running unopposed, received 4,569.

• County Sheriff: Jason Schluttenhofer retained his position.

Wright County Votes Red in State Legislative Races 

• Iowa Senate District 28: Dennis Guth (R)

• Iowa House District 56: Mark Thompson (R) 

• Iowa House District 55: Shannon Latham (R) 

U.S. House of Representatives

• District: Randy Feenstra (R) 

Iowa Constitutional Amendments

• Amendment 1 - Voting Age Change:  4,128 votes in favor and 936 against. 

• Amendment 2 - Lt. Governor Appointment: 4,345 in favor and 666 voter against. 

Trump Wins Wright County

• Donald Trump (R): 3,853 votes

• Kamala Harris (D): 1,770 votes

Trump Leads in Iowa with 57.34% of Votes in the Uncalled Race for the White House

More than half of Iowa’s precincts have reported in Iowa. Republican candidate Donald Trump is leading the race with 758,072 (57.34%) votes at the writing of this article. Democratic candidate Kamala Harris is behind with 564,004 (42.66%) of votes.
