Clarion, Iowa – We are excited to say we received many wonderful photos from around Wright County for our quarterly Wright County Economic Development Photo Contest. Whether you’ve lived here all your life or are new to beautiful part of the world, there are so many glorious sites, faces, and places to enjoy.

Rose Ann Bowman of Clarion was named our most recent prize winner for our photo contest by submitting a breathtaking shot of an early morning sunrise from Hole #1 at Clarmond Country Club.

“I saw the contest on Facebook a couple of days after I took that picture and thought, ‘Why not,’” said Bowman of her decision to submit her picture. “I have seen a lot of beautiful sunset pictures in Wright County, but not many sunrises.”

The contest committee agreed with her. The sunrise picture gives an instant inspiration to make you want to set your alarm clock just a little bit earlier in the morning to capture your own view of Wright County during one of the most beautiful parts of the day. If you feel the same inspiration, grab your camera on the way out the door and capture some submission photos of your own.

Photos are not limited to beautiful scenery. Maybe you’ll capture farm work being done in the fields, children playing with their pets, animals just waking up. Look for what captures your attention, then photograph it, then share it with us. It just might win you a $25 Chamber certificate from the Wright County community of your choice.

One of Bowman’s favorite things to photograph in Wright County is the landscape that changes from season-to-season.

When it comes to the best part of living here, Bowman said “It’s definitely the people. We have the most generous and caring people living in our county.”
