CGD High School Seniors Jaidyn Lockwood, Kara Legleiter, and Nicole Lorenzo (left to right) participated in the IHSSA Large Group State Speech contest on Saturday, February 6, in Hampton, Iowa. Their choral reading, "Dear Anxiety," inspired by Clayton Jennings' poem of the same name, reflected their anxiety experiences. COVID 19 has provided many opportunities for anxiety to run rampant this year - this was their way of talking back to it and taking back their power.
