Let’s Go to the Fair!
May’s Clover Kids meeting was about the opportunities for K-3rd Graders at the fair! They enjoyed a book about a county fair and talked about the differences between county fairs today and the 1990s.
Clover Kids can participate in a wide range of project areas at the Wright County Fair including Static Projects, Photography Challenge, Food & Nutrition Challenge, Bottle/Bucket Calf, Novice Lamb, Lil’ Squealers Showmanship Class, Walk/Trot Horse Classes, and the Clover Kid Pet Show.
Clover Kids made a static project mosaic out of clay and worked on their static goal card. Clover Kids had the opportunity to have a practice run of the Pet Show by practicing with stuffed animals in a show-and-tell fashion.
“This is our last Clover Kid meeting for the year, but the opportunities continue to grow for K-3rd Graders in Wright County. We have two-day camps, multiple library programs across the county, and the Wright County Fair this summer. I am excited to see all the Clover Kids exhibit their projects and livestock at the fair in July!” Shared K-12 Program Coordinator Paige Dagel.
Clover Kids is a fun 4-H program specifically designed for children in kindergarten through third grade. Clover Kids fosters positive relationships and builds valuable life skills through a variety of hands-on activities. Clover Kids is free to youth in Wright County thanks to the Wright County 4-H Endowment.
