Weidemann leads Cowboys in rushing yards and scoring

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows varsity football team finished at 2-7 overall for this year, accumulating 2,043 total rushing yards and 421 total passing yards. They scored 178 total points overall. Jaace Weidemann rushed for 1,235 yards on 181 carries. He scored 12 TD’s for the year. Nate Rapp had 310 yards on 87 attempts with two touchdowns. Trent Jergenson had 180 yards on 50 carries with three touchdowns. Mateo Martinez had 127 yards on 23 attempts with one touchdown. Other rushing yards were added by Reed Abbas (44 yards), Kain Nelson (42 yards and one TD), Clinton Miller (38 yards and one TD), Carter Dietz (35 yards), Cael Chase (11 yards), Sam Johnson (10 yards), Kamren Jergensen (nine yards), Rafael Jimenez (two yards) and Matt Beltran (one yard).

Weidemann passed for 17 of 53 for 293 total yards, with six TD’s and five interceptions. His season rating was 97.0. Martinez was five of seven for 77 yards, Nelson two of two for 48 yards and Andy Conlon one of four for three yards. Conlon caught four passes for 120 total yards and three TD’s. Martinez caught four for 74 yards and two TD’s. Johnson caught two for 57 yards and one touchdown. Rapp caught four for 48 yards. T. Jergenson caught three for 44 yards and Beltran four for 27 yards. Cole Lindaman caught one for 27 yards, Clinton Miller one for 19 yards, Nelson one for three yards and Cael Chase one for two yards.
