Patricia Hendrix

Patricia Elaine (Range) Hendrix passed away from complications due to cancer on May 7, 2022 just 1 day shy of her 65^th birthday in Bentonville, AR.

Patricia was born to Pete and Barb Range in Clarion, Iowa in 1957.  She grew up in Clarion surrounded by her large family with 5 siblings and many extended family in the area. Pat, as she was known, graduated from Clarion High School in 1975.  She went on to marry Mike Bierl and they had one child together, Heather.  Pat lived in Clarion until she married Neil Hendrix and moved to Loma Linda, CA.  They had 2 children together, Rocky and Josh.

Pat spent most of her time surrounded by little ones. She ran an in home daycare in California for years, meeting many people along with way who she treated like family.  On the weekends she could be found in her bathing suit getting a tan.

Pat had lived in many different places over her life but had settled in Bella Vista, AR for the last 20 years.  She enjoyed baking and cooking meals for family and friends and had hundreds of cookbooks and recipes to show for it.  

Pat was crazy- crazy about her grandkids whom she would have done anything for. Crazy about others- she always had an extra spot at the table for whoever showed up.  Crazy about Hallmark ornaments (we found hundreds in her basement). Crazy with a zest for life- she traveled, she lived in many different places and made friends into family wherever she went. She was passionate about what she wanted out of life, she made her own decisions and was content with what she had.  She was loved and will be missed by many.

Survivors include a daughter: Heather Stemsrud and her husband Brent of Des Moines, IA: two sons: Rocky Hendrix and his wife, Heather of Mountain Grove, MO and Josh Hendrix with Amber Ellis, of Azle, TX: four brothers: Doug Range and his wife, Shane, of Lakeland, FL, Arnold Range and his wife, Tammy, of Clarion, IA, Mike Range of Goldfield, IA and Scott Range, of Bella Vista, AR: seven grandchildren: Ashley Watson(Daniel), Zach Stemsrud(Ashley), Alaina, Kate, Peyton and Ian:  four great grandchildren: Kinsley, Ryland, Weston and Remington.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Miss Stille.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Clarion, IA.
