Meet you at the Gazebo!

Clarion’s kickoff to summer is almost here. This weekend, June 8 and 9, Clarionites and visitors will celebrate our Festival in the Park.

The theme of the Festival is “Meet you at the Gazebo!”, highlighting the classic park structure that helped get the Festival started in 1979.

“We’re just paying tribute to where the day’s events happen,” said Ali Disney, Clarion Chamber Director.

Disney said the Festival will include the main activities from years past, plus some new things to do during Family Fun Night and musical acts for the stage portion of Saturday.

Family Fun Night, as in previous years, will include games for kids and music, but new activities this year are a tricycle course and corn pit for playing. There will also be a professional face painter, juggler and a magic show by Johnathan May at 6 and 7 p.m.

Saturday, of course, will start with the Firemen’s pancake breakfast. Craft and vendor booth will be set up in the park starting at 9 a.m. The traditional parade starts at 10. For any last-minute parade entries, download a form off the Chamber website and contact Disney in the Chamber office.
