Larry Lindstrom

Larry Gene Lindstrom, 82, of Clarion, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at his home. The family wishes to thank St. Croix Hospice for their care and wonderful attention that Larry received through this long and difficult time.

No services will be held. Friends may visit at his home.

Larry was born in Hampton, Iowa to biological parents, Melbourne and Frances (Arnold) Lindstrom, and was raised by Harold and Bessie Lindstrom as his parents. He graduated from Clarion High School in 1957 and worked for Youngco in Clarion, Iowa until he established Clarion Elevator Service Inc. in 1975, and operated his thriving business until retirement in 1998. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Clarion.

Larry was known for his love of family, his fishing passion, golf and a good card game.

Larry is survived by his wife Jean of 63 years; sons Michael C. (Lori Linden) Lindstrom and Murray J. (Toni Summers) Lindstrom; daughter Melissa J. (Ronald) Risher; two granddaughters Chereen (Brian) Stroup and Charlotte (Paul) Caliguiri; seven great-grandchildren Aden, Owen, Eric, Izak and Lorelai Stroup, and Dominic and Joe Caliguiri; step-grandchildren Jonathon (Laura) Williams, Scott (Jackie) Ahrens, Jeremy (Lindsey Cundiff) Williams, Jimmie Williams, Elissa (Gary) Wahlenmaier, Renee (Craig Jenest) Risher, Lauren (Joey) Hammer; step great-grandchildren Mischell Stanley, Ava and Owen Ahrens, and Ryan Jenest; and biological brother Jerry D. (Sandi) Lindstrom of Clarion, Iowa.

Larry was preceded in death by his biological parents; grandson Joseph Lindstrom; Harold and Bessie Lindstrom and their children Harold Jr., Audrey, Don and Barbara; Jean’s parents Margaret and Gene Williams; and brother-in-law Jim (Willy) Williams.
