Cowgirls bow out of regionals, lose to Cadets

The third time was not the charm for the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowgirl varsity last Wednesday in a 69-44 regional loss to Iowa Falls-Alden. After dropping both regular season games to the Cadets, the red and black couldn’t seem to turn the tables on their familiar opponent this time around. The Cadets used a strong second quarter to be up 47-20 at halftime.

Raven Kinnetz led the way by netting 15 points, followed by Courtney Harle who chipped in 13 points. Quinn Hansch and Lauren Odland both scored six points each and Emily Kapka four points. Harle cleaned the glass for eight rebounds, with Vanessa Kolb getting her hands on four caroms and both Kinnetz and Kapka three apiece. Odland and Jadyn Jondle had one each.
