Cowboy golf team are sectional champions

For the second year in a row, the Cowboy golf team will play in the district meet with a chance to make back-to-back state appearances. They took the title at the 2A sectional meet last Friday at Parkersburg. The red and black finished with a 344 total, followed by: Aplington-Parkersburg 357, South Hamilton 358, East Marshall 365, Dike-New Hartford 367, Hudson 371, Eagle Grove 383 and South Hardin 441.

Dalton Nesheim was medalist with rounds of 39 and 41 for an 18-hole 80 score. Other counting cards were: Alec Martin 41-41 for 82 (fourth overall); Blake Jackson 46-42 for 88; Camden Hanson 51-83 for 94. Other rounds were played by Andrew Conlon (102) and Brandon Schultz (111).

Districts are this Friday in Dike.
