C-G-D High School students step into the work world at recent career fair

Last week, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows High School hosted a special event that engaged both their students and the community. The school brought over 30 businesses, companies and colleges to their building for their first career and college fair.

The fair took up most of the school day last Wednesday and allowed students to get a glimpse of several careers and job opportunities. The day was split into several sessions that students could choose from. Sessions were very diverse and gave everyone ample opportunity to explore different paths. Students could explore sessions about agronomy, constructions, cosmetology, baking, plumbing and much more. Many sessions were presented by local companies such as Hagie and Ennis Trucking. Some businesses even talked to students about possible job shadowing, internship and work-study opportunities that they could be involved in.
