Last Friday in Jewell, the Cowboy basketball team lost a 66-26 district game to South Hamilton. They were still in it after one quarter, as the Hawks led 20-10. However, over the last three periods they could manage only 16 total points as the home team pulled away to the win.

On Thursday, January 31, the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows boys traveled to Webster City and lost 67-33 to the Lynx. The home team took a 42-16 lead into the locker room. Last Tuesday night on their home mat, the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows wrestling team took down two more opponents in dual meet competition.
