Christine Anderson

Christine M. Anderson, 65, of Goldfield, IA, died Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, IA. Private family services will be held at a later date. Christine was born March 9, 1958, in Clarion, IA, the daughter of James H. and Mary E. (Mosher) Howieson. She graduated from Clarion High School in 1976. Christine was united in marriage to Joe Anderson in Clarion in 1976, and to this union two children were born: Heath and Casie. The couple later divorced. She later found the love of her life: Jeff Nelson. Christine worked at Clarion Super Foods for 35+ years until her health declined in 2018. Christine enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, Indy Car Races, NASCAR, and snowmobiling. She also enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. Christine was a true Iowan. 

Christine is survived by 2 children: Heath Anderson and wife Kristine of Goodell, IA, and Casie Pittman and husband Mark of Clarion; 2 grandchildren: Levi and Lucy; her father: James Howieson of Clarion; a brother: Terry Howieson and wife Melinda of Clarion; and her significant other: Jeff Nelson of Goldfield. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother: Mary Howieson.
