Wright County Youth Vie for Fair Queen

As 4-H and FFA members make last minute preparations of their exhibits for the Wright County Fair set for July 11th through 16th, the following four females are also getting ready for the competition to be crowned the Wright County Fair Queen.

On July 11th, a committee of judges will carefully interview the ladies to select the royalty based on their personal traits as well as their leadership and citizenship contributions throughout the community. The Queen and Princess will reign throughout the fair while also assisting with many fair activities. The Queen will represent Wright County in the Iowa State Fair Queen competition this August.

In addition to prizes and a trip to the Iowa State Fair sponsored by the Wright County Fair Board, the Wright County Fair Queen will receive a $500 scholarship sponsored by Humboldt Mutual Insurance Association and a bookshelf sponsored by Evans Furniture in Clarion.
