Wright County Board of Supervisors offers commendation to dispatcher

A letter of commendation was also presented to dispatcher Ashley Reiter who was on duty at the time of the gas leak in Clarion two weeks ago.  Reiter, who has only been on the job a few months, noted that it was only her fifth day working alone. Reiter was responsible for notifying first responders and taking worried calls from the public, all while dealing with another separate 911 call. Supervisor Karl Helgevold thanked her for her “calm and professional response” and said her actions represent a “true testament of dedication.” Supervisor Stan Watne summed up the board’s feelings about the incident by emphasizing, “We’re darn proud of our first responders.”
