Supervisors finalize refinancing agreement

The Wright County Board of Supervisors met Monday for their regular meeting. One of the first agenda items was to take final action on the refinancing of the 2010 wind farm loan. They signed a resolution authorizing and approving the loan agreement with DA Davidson and providing for the issuance of $2,120,000 refunding bonds and providing for the levy of taxes to pay the same.  This is the final step in the refinancing process that will save the county a year of payments on the life of the loan.

Dan Schroeder appeared before the board to talk about his mom’s property on the west side of Page Avenue by Lake Cornelia across from the Clarmond Country Club. The family is interested in cleaning up the property lines on the land that the family already maintains. They are trying to make it a saleable property for the future. Right now, the property lines are rather confusing with Wright County Conservation and Clarmond having property in the area as well as some “no-man’s land” due to how the road was built ,according to survey information. The Schroeders have buildings in those areas and maintain it. Dan noted the family is willing to pay to get the property surveyed and any legal costs that would help the process along.
