Prestage Foods nearing completion

Prestage Foods of Iowa is proud to say that they are building the most state-of-the-art food processing plant in the world right here in Eagle Grove. 

“We believe we have led the way with this project and that it will become standard in the industry from here on out,” said Prestage Chief Executive Officer Jere Null.

Work began on the $300 million project in the spring of 2017.  Despite extreme winter cold and snow, and many spring rainy days, the project has stayed very close to on-schedule from their original completion date of November 2018.  They are now on course to begin initial operation by mid-December with “production starting in earnest” right after the start of the new year.
