Joan ‘Jo’ Thornton, 69, of Clarion passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion. Funeral services for Jo Thornton will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Holmes Lutheran Church, 2139 Hancock Avenue in rural Clarion, with Pastor Rich Taylor officiating. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion. Visitation for Jo Thornton will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Ewing Funeral Home, 1801 Central Avenue East in Clarion, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
