Harle, Askelsen earn All-NCC, lead the Cowgirl softball stats

The Cowgirl softball team finished with a 3-19 overall record, and were 2-12 in North Central Conference play. Humboldt took the title at 13-1, followed in the top three by Webster City at 12-2 and St. Edmond at 8-6. Megan Askelsen (Sr.) and Courtney Harle (Jr.) were both named to the 3rd Team in league balloting.

The team had 589 total at-bats produce 68 total runs on 124 total hits. Among those were 10 doubles and one homerun. A total of 48 RBI were produced. There was two sac fly’s, 44 walks taken, 17 players hit by pitch and 87 steals in 93 attempts. The collective team batting average was .222, with a .248 slugging percentage.

Courtney Harle had 26 hits in 70 at-bats for an average of .371. Megan Askelsen had 18 hits in 63 at-bats for an average of .286. Kendall Lienemann had 14 hits in 61 at-bats for an average of .230. Vanessa Kolb had 14 hits in 70 at-bats for an average of .200. Emma Schluttenhofer had 12 hits in 57 at-bats for an average of .211.

Emily Kapka had 11 hits in 50 at-bats for an average of .220. Gabby Hackley had 11 hits in 52 at-bats for an average of .212. Remi Johnson had four hits in 23 at-bats for an average of .174. Quinn Hansch had four hits in 38 at-bats for an average of .105. Hannah Tew had four hits in 21 at-bats for an average of .190. Paige Willey had four hits in 30 at-bats for an average of .133. Clarissa Hasty and Kaylie Dow both had one hit each.
