Happy 30th anniversary, Sportsgraphics!

What started as an idea for a sports product by one Wright County resident in 1987 has moved to having manufactured items for sports teams and schools across the country in 2017!

Sportsgraphics, now located at 1791 Page Avenue between the Clarmond golf course and Lake Cornelia, is owned and operated by the Conlon brothers, Tom and Pat. It is in its 30th year of business.

“Jim Russell had the idea for geometric designed ultamats for school gyms, using sports logos and contoured foam,” said Pat. Hagie Manufacturing purchased the business shortly thereafter. Older brother Mike was hired by Hagie’s as a sales representative, which started the Conlon family’s involvement.

The Conlons bought the business in 1992 and began producing the mats in what was then Conlon’s bakery on Clarion’s Main Street (now Fuel), before moving to its present location. Different members of the family have been involved in its manufacturing since then.
