Hansch releases final football statistics

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows head football coach Paul Hansch has released his 2014 team stats for all games. The district stats, along with any All-District selections and his season comments, will be in next week’s Monitor.

The team finished with a 6-4 overall record and a 3-3 mark in Class 2A, District 2 for the fourth seed in the playoffs. Clear Lake won the district with a 6-0 record, with Hampton-Dumont next at 5-1 and the Cowboys tied with Estherville-Lincoln Central for third. ELC took the third seed based on point differential.

The Cowboys made it back into postseason action after a one-year absence, losing at East Sac County in the opening round.
