Greving hopes to help educate local community

By simply looking at an individual, could you tell if they have some kind of a learning disability?

Many times, you can't. And that is especially true of ones like dyslexia, which is often why it is called the "hidden disability."

But by bringing back and applying the knowledge gained through attending the Learning Disabilities Association (LDA) Conference this year, Katie Greving, Clarion, hopes to educate people more about it.

Approximately 200 people, both professionals and parents, attended this last one in October. It was held in Des Moines.

"I want people to learn about the facts of learning disabilities like dyslexia rather than the myths," Greving said. "By attending and learning, I can continue this mission."
