Final CGD volleyball stats show Middleton leading in kills

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows volleyball team finished at 27-9 for the second straight year, this time culminating their season at the state tournament. They also finished in a three-way tie for the North Central Conference crown, they joined Iowa Falls-Alden and Humboldt at 6-1 each. They were 59-18 in overall sets and 20-4 in conference sets.

The team had 1,724 successful serves out of 1,852 attempts in 93 total sets. That resulted in a 93.1 percent serve efficiency. There were 199 total aces for an average of 2.14 per set. Alaina Friesleben was 361 out of 381 in serves for 94.8 percent. Jadyn Jondle was 290 out of 312 for 92.9 percent. Morgan Middleton was 286 out of 300 for 95.3 percent. Megan Askelsen was 268 out of 291 for 92.1 percent. Haley Nerem was 215 out of 237 for 90.7 percent.
