EntreBASH coming to Clarion February 9

For the second year in a row, Wright County Economic Development, in cooperation with Hamilton County and the University of Northern Iowa, is hosting EntreBASH, a networking opportunity where entrepreneurs can get business advice from local experts. On February 9 between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., local businesspeople will gather at Hagie’s west building to learn how to grow their business, find business resources in the county, and hopefully have a good time.

Courtney Stewart with Wright County Economic Development said that the event is open not just to Wright and Hamilton residents, but any other businessperson interested in attending. “It is intended for entrepreneurs, those looking to start a business, expand a business, just kind of get any form of business questions they have answered,” she said.

Five experts in areas such as business finance, legal, accounting, succession and planning, and social media will each have their own table where entrepreneurs can visit them. They will also have cards with information to take. In addition, Stewart said that vendors will have tables with information on services like business loans and insurance so that people can learn directly about local resources without having to search. “Lots of time for networking and socializing and getting questions they have answered,” Stewart said.
