Dorothy Frohling

Dorothy Evonne (Hendrickson) Frohling, the daughter of Daniel and Eleanor (Dyvig) Hendrickson, was born on September 2, 1921, on a farm near Jewell, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the area if her birth, graduating from Stanhope High School in 1937.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Darrel Maynard Frohling in Jewell, Iowa on March 9, 1941. Together they farmed for over 60 years. Dorothy never retired from farming or being a farm wife.

Dorothy was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Webster City.

Dorothy passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February17, 2021, at her home, at the age of 99 ½ years. She was preceded in death by her husband Darrel in 2008; her parents and three sisters: Charlotte Faust, Doris Klaver (her twin) and Elsie Peterson/Book.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Douglas Frohling of Woolstock (Mary “Cookie” Thomas); daughter, Harriett Griese and husband Richard of Prior Lake, Minnesota and grandson, Ryan Griese and wife Rebecca of Richfield, Minnesota.

Private memorial services will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial will be in the French Church Cemetery, east of Woolstock.

A memorial gathering will be held in late summer of 2021
