Cowgirls win first golf meet of year over H-D

This past Monday, the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows girls golf team got their season underway by hosting Hampton-Dumont at Oakridge in Goldfield. The Cowgirls came out on top by a 245-253 score. Hannah Tew was medalist with a 57, followed close behind by Eden Polzin with 59 for runner-up honors. Other counting scores were brought in by Nicole Waters (64) and Katie Haberman (65).

Other cards were submitted by Reagan Goodell and Karina Torres with identical 77 totals, Jadyn Jondle with 80 and Lauren Brooks with 83. “It went well, considering it was the first time either club had been on a course even for practice,” said coach Jeff Meyer.
