Cowgirls will go to Forest City for postseason golf

The Cowgirl golf team has been assigned to a Class 2A regional golf meet hosted by Forest City, and held at the Bear Creek Course on Monday, May 13 at 9 a.m. Joining them and host Forest City in first round play will be the following teams: Eagle Grove, Crestwood (Cresco), Estherville-Lincoln Central, Garner-Hayfield/Ventura, Okoboji-Milford and Osage.

The top two teams, along with the top six individuals (including ties and if already on a qualifying team) will advance to the regional finals on Monday, May 20 at the Garner Golf Course with the same tee-off time as above. They will be joined by qualifiers from the other regional at Carroll, which includes the following teams: Cherokee, East Sac County, Emmetsburg, Kuemper Catholic, OABCIG, Pocahontas Area, South Central Calhoun and Southeast Valley. The same formula will then determine qualifiers from that final to advance to the 2A State Girls Golf Tournament on May 28-29 at the Ames Golf & Country Club.
