Cowgirls post 2-3 record at Forest City tournament

Even though the outcome was a little different than what the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows varsity volleyball team is used to this year, they still performed well in last Saturday’s tournament in Forest City.

They not only defeated a good 3A team from Spirit Lake, but also bested conference foe Webster City in three sets.

They began the day with a loss to St. Ansgar, with sets of: L22-20, W21-8, L15-6. The team served up perfection at 100 percent, with Maddie Disney scoring four of the nine total aces.
