Cowgirls move on after four-set win over Bulldogs

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows varsity volleyball team took their first step back to a second straight regional final appearance with a four-set win over Hampton-Dumont. Scores were L25-22, W25-12, W25-16 and W25-15.

Team serving was at 92.7 percent, with Alaina Friesleben a perfect 22 of 22 (four aces). Jadyn Jondle was 19 of 22 (three), Kenna Kruger 15 of 15 (two), Vanessa Kolb 13 of 15 (one) and Haley Nerem 13 of 15. Megan Askelsen went 7 of 7.

“We came out a little slower than I would have liked, but I felt we worked out a few jitters in the process,” stated head coach Katrina TerHark. “The second set, we came out and executed our game plan. We were able to get set offensively and got our hands on balls at the net."
