Cowgirls keep rolling with two more victories

The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows varsity volleyball team took their fifth match in a row, and eighth in their last nine, with a three-set win over Eagle Grove last Thursday. Scores were 25-6, 25-13 and 25-6.

Team serving was at 93.2 percent, with Kenna Kruger going 20 of 20 with four aces. Jadyn Jondle was 13 of 14 (seven aces), Haley Nerem 12 of 12 (one) and Vanessa Kolb 10 of 12 (four). Megan Askelsen was 9 of 9 (two), Alaina Friesleben 4 of 5 (one) and Jordyn Jondle 1 of 2 (one).

“We came out focused and dominated the Eagles from the beginning,” stated head coach Katrina TerHark. “With it being senior night, it was a great night to get all seniors in to play. One of our goals was to play our game and not to the level of our competition, and we definitely did that. Thank you seniors for all your hard work and dedication to the CGD volleyball program. A big thanks to our parents, we appreciate all your support!”
