Cowgirls eliminated 11-1 from the regionals

It proved to be a tough test last Wednesday in Waterloo as the Columbus Catholic Sailors defeated the Cowgirls 11-1 in four innings in first-round regional action.

Emily Kapka brought in Vanessa Kolb for their only run in the first inning. Megan Askelsen ended up 2 for 3, with Courtney Harle and Clarrisa Hasty getting a base hit each. Gabby Hackley took the loss in her final pitching appearance.

The team finishes 3-20 for the year, with Kolb, Askelsen and Kapka joining Hackley in their final game in a Cowgirl uniform.
