Cowgirl season ended by Kuemper in three sets

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows made a good accounting for themselves versus number one (3A) seed Kuemper Catholic. Standing toe to toe with them early on, and at times matching them point for point, the Knights eventually started wearing them down with an aggressive attack. In the end, it was just too much to overcome in a three-set loss than ended their season at 27-9 and ended a six-match win streak as well.

The Cowgirls hung tough early in set one and worked hard to stay with their opponent. Kuemper slowly gained a lead and turned it into an advantage in slowly pulling away to a win. Set two saw coach TerHark call a timeout to regroup her girls after Kuemper took a 9-3 lead. Later in the set, a Kuemper block back gave them a 15-6 margin.
