Cowboys win big over West Hancock

Even though last week’s opponent presented a bit more of a challenge to them, the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows varsity football team still had more than enough to beat back the West Hancock Eagles for a 50-12 victory to go to 4-0 on the season as Clear Lake now awaits them.

“We played well against a tough opponent,” said head coach Paul Hansch. “In the first quarter, West Hancock ran the ball against us pretty effectively. They have always had an excellent rushing attack, and last Friday was no different. However, once we made some adjustments the kids did a good job of executing their assignments from that point allowing us to keep them contained.”
